U4GM GTA 5 Lester Stock Guide to Fast Money

You don't need to grind street races for pocket change if you're playing GTA 5's story mode with a bit of patience. The real money comes from Lester's assassination jobs and the stock market, though plenty of players still rush them and leave billions on the table. Whether you're building from scratch or looking at GTA V Accounts for a faster start, the basic idea is the same: hold your cash, time your buys, and don't get greedy when the price starts climbing.

Save the big assassinations for later
Lester's first hit, The Hotel Assassination, has to be done to move the story along. That one can't really wait. After that, though, leave his remaining assassination missions alone until the main story is finished. It feels odd, because the icons are sitting there on the map, but waiting is the smart play. By the end of the campaign, Michael, Franklin, and Trevor should all have a serious pile of money. That's when these missions turn from decent earners into ridiculous wealth machines.

How the stock trick actually works
Before starting each assassination, invest every dollar from all three characters into the right company. Then complete the mission and watch the market. Some stocks peak quickly, especially on BAWSAQ, while LCN usually takes more in-game time. Don't just sleep for a week and hope for the best. Check the portfolio page often. Once the return is close to the expected range, sell everything. For some missions, you'll then buy the rival company after its price has crashed and wait for it to recover. That second bounce is where a lot of the silly money comes from.

The mission-by-mission play
For The Hotel Assassination, buy Betta Pharmaceuticals before the job, then sell around a 50% return. After that, Bilkinton Research can rebound hard on LCN. For The Multi Target Assassination, Debonaire is the pre-mission pick, and Redwood is the recovery buy after the hit. The Vice Assassination uses Fruit before the job, then Facade after. The Bus Assassination is different, since you normally wait until after the mission and buy Vapid while it's low. For The Construction Assassination, Gold Coast is the main investment before you start. Always use all three characters, not just Franklin.

Spend it or keep playing the market
Once you've run the assassination investments properly, you'll have more cash than the game ever expects you to spend. Buy businesses, aircraft, garages, weapons, clothes, whatever you've been putting off. You can keep trading if you like, but there are no more guaranteed Lester-style payouts after that chain is done. Some players would rather skip the slow setup and buy cheap GTA V Accounts instead, but if you enjoy the single-player money route, this is still the cleanest way to become absurdly rich without wasting hours on small jobs.
