Tenth Mtn Div Hut road conditions?

Anyone been up on Wuritz Gulch road to the Tenth Mtn Division Hut this summer? We are going in September starting in the afternoon with small/medium sized kiddos & would love to park up the road to limit the hiking to 2 miles.
