Hey! We have a crew going to Seipel Hut and Polar Star Inn- looking for any feedback on the trail… we are feeling nervous about the avalanche conditions

I’d definitely take the avalanche conditions seriously for that route, especially if your group isn’t familiar with the terrain. Check the latest avalanche forecast and recent trail reports right before heading out, since conditions can change quickly.

If anyone in the group has limited winter backcountry experience, I’d also consider going with someone who knows the route well or hiring a local guide. Better to turn around early than push through when conditions don’t feel right. Hope you have a safe trip!

Do you have the necessary safety gear, like avalanche beacons, shovels, and probes? It’s always better to be prepared.
