What would you do differently?

Post by Morgus »

After a few hut trips, I’ve started to notice that the things I remember most aren’t always the highlights of the trip, but the little things I would change if I had to do it all over again. Sometimes it’s something I packed and never used, something I wish I had brought, a mistake with timing, or simply something I didn’t expect until I was actually out there. It got me wondering what other people have learned from their own trips. If you could go back and do one of your hut trips again, what’s the one thing you would do differently? It could be something small or something that made a big difference. I’d be interested to hear what others learned from their experiences.

I’d definitely plan my packing a bit lighter. On my first few trips, I carried way too much stuff that I never ended up using. Now I focus on the essentials and always bring an extra pair of dry socks. I’d also start earlier in the day instead of rushing to reach the hut before dark. Those small changes can make the whole trip a lot more enjoyable.wheelie life
