Ski conditions - Bette Bear / Aspen

Anyone been out to Bette Bear or huts near Aspen lately? It seems like too little snow to skin and maybe even tennis shoes/spikes and snowshoes is the way to go.

Headed out to Bette Bear or the huts near Aspen soon? I'm wondering about snow conditions. Thinking it's too thin for skins. Maybe trail runners with spikes and snowshoes would be best. Reminds me of needing perfect traction to nail those tricky flips in Moto X3M! Anyone have recent beta?
